Back Along the Primrose Line – Brent to Kingsbridge is now online. While updating the video, I had the chance to visit the new owners of the Loddiswell Station and film the up-to-date scenes of the stations. Richard & Nikki Curzon live in the station, which is now a private dwelling, but they also own the Loddiswell Signal Box.

The signal box is a replica of one that would have been at Brent or Gara Bridge, but they have converted it into a self catering holiday accommodation. In a new series of videos planned, I have made a short video about the station, its history and what it looks like today.

Loddiswell is beautifully restored and you can imagine what it must have been like in the days of steam.

Richard & Nikki only usually let visitors on the old platform by appointment. However, this Saturday there is a Kingsbridge Vintage Bus Day, where they will open the gardens for those who are interested. There will be refreshments available, with all the fund raising going to the Explorer Scout Unit.

In Kingsbridge there are a collection of classic buses, running routes around the area, it is on Saturday 16th Sept, on the 60th anniversary of the closure on the line.  You can find more information HERE.
