Keeping up a blog is hard work. I say hard work, what I mean is I keep forgetting. Most of the time, I’m sitting at the computer, busy editing. I have recently started a new set of videos, about the pictorial history of some of the stations along main lines.
I’m putting a lot of time in to the YouTube Channel and it seems to be going well. I’ve had some lovely feedback recently:
A great little film. I’ve always been fascinated by this branch line. I travel from Berkshire several times a year to cycle the length of the track. I always look forward to it. I’ll be doing it again soon before the end of the year. So much history mixed in with beautiful scenery. Perfect! Thanks.
Great to see this video! I can remember visiting the line back in the 50s.I thought it was magical!
Nice to see footage too of the beautiful villages the line served. Lovely little film. Thank you.
I’m currently very busy going through a lot of cine film that was recently given to me, and there’s still more to come. If you haven’t subscribed to the channel yet, it really helps and supports all future productions.
Maiden Newton to Bridport
I’m still working on the script for this video. I have some cine film of the line and am trying to track down more. Finding movie footage is becoming increasingly difficult, but it’s worth the effort.
The video about the Maiden Newton to Bridport line was originally planned to be finished by November, but it doesn’t look like that will happen now. However, I do have plans for something else in the meantime.
I’m going through a lot of images about the line and they are fascinating.
